A Better Life

 Poem A Better Life 2023-02-19 Matt5 Luke6

I come home from the mount, with what I felt.
Writing down notes of what the Master said.
Render me humble, with needs in my head.
Comfort comes from when humble and have knelt

Be gentle, patient, tolerant and kind.
Show true meekness and never prideful.
Seek to know more of Him it's delightful.
Mercy shown for all, a reward you'll find.

Eliminate the impure from your heart
Push out that which truly does not belong
Love everyone, in harmony lives all.

Be as the salt of the earth is a start.
Reflect covenants in my life is strong.
In darkest of places, shine my light tall.

Listen to my thoughts that lead to action
Start early, choose not to anger, nor shout
Cast it out, Pluck it out, remove it out.
watch out for this path leads to infraction.

Climbing ladder higher will make you smart
Make it holier in your head is not wrong.
Make this divine connection, you stand tall.

Previous poem - Reach and rise - Matt 5 Luke 6 2019-02-24

My ears struck by the strength of force
in his words will help me endorse.
Break undone my imperfect ways
climb, reach, rise to perfect all days.

Pure hearts not tainted nor spoiled.
Humble and righteous are employed.
Love for all no matter the ire
Take out the beam and inspire.

I Spoke with the Rabbi

I spoke with the Rabbi 2023-02-12  John 2-4

Honey, My love, I spoke with the Rabbi.
Spiritually begotten children can
Lift our eyes that we see that Son of Man.
I should be born again before I die.

Aside the well the Rabbi talked to me.
For that Messias that we've heard spoken of
Has come, He's here, my heart awoke with love.
He has living water, I do decree.

Born of the Spirit filled us to the brim.
The spirit lifts us without ev'n a crumb.
Life returned though almost gone is the sign.

Yes we can now see the wind yes it's him.
Our eyes and hearts are open with help from
Those miracles when turned water to wine.

Previous Poem Wind and Water 2019-02-18

Aside Jacob's well I feel strange
My soul parched crying out for change
Sip, Swig, Swallow living water
my heart & mind follow order

Effects are felt, Yet no wind seen
Born of Spirit, actions are clean
Act on truth and come to the light
Your daily deeds from God made right
