Mindful of Me

 "Mindful of Me"

The morning sky lifts praise in sheets of gold,
And night reveals the lamps Thy fingers place;
The restless sea repeats Thy strength and grace,
While hills keep faith in silence, ages old.

The lark’s clear hymn, the seed beneath the mold,
The sun that runs its glad appointed race,
All bear the mark of Thine unfailing face,
Though none can speak the wonders they unfold.

Yet I stand small 'neath this wide and grand sky.
I wonder why Thy thought should rest on me;
Thou hear’st the prayer that rises as a plea,
And lead’st my steps beneath Thy heaven high.

Thy heavens speak Thy glory, bright and clear;
Yet Thou art mindful of my presence here.

The Weaver of the Infinite and Small
This poetic composition draws inspiration from various biblical psalms to celebrate the grandeur of creation and the intimacy of divine care. The author illustrates the majesty of nature, using imagery like golden skies and restless seas to symbolize a higher power's strength. Despite the overwhelming scale of the universe, the text transitions into a personal reflection on human insignificance compared to the heavens. It ultimately emphasizes a profound spiritual connection, marveling that a creator so vast remains attentive to the individual. Through this lens, the work harmonizes the splendor of the cosmos with the quiet comfort of being personally known and guided.
